You get to experience the world-famous Transzalpine train on the day 1 of your trip, departing from Christchurch, stay the night at the iconic Lake Brunner Hotel on the West Coast, wake up at the Lakeview, and enjoy breakfast before picking up your car from the Lake Brunner Hotel for your 7-day south island road trip.

You are then free to set on your brilliant road trip that you can create for yourself by exploring New Zealand’s iconic regions: West Coast, Queenstown, Mackenzie, and Canterbury region. If you need longer (and we think you do!) we are happy to extend your car hire to make your road trip even more brilliant.
